Cold and dry, lovin it!

The snow dust sucks but other than Army there haven't really been any other trouble spots.

COLT 11-14-2006 02:39 PM

All right, I've let you bask in your glory for 5 days  Proud of that chain up? Yes I know it was your first time, BUT  If that chain didn't have bungee straps on it, it would've fallen off on the hill! Is that a single? must be... Where is the boomer? On the inside? That chain is too big to get tight. You'll have to take a cross rail out and probably cut some tail chain off. Get someone to help you tuneup your jewelery, before you need them, just trying to help. Others will learn from this too. I'll post a pic of a good fitting chain soon

LadyNorthStar 11-14-2006 07:13 PM

Kiss my you know what Colt. Those chains never budged on those tires. Yes, the bungees helped, the tensioners wouldn't tighten as I didn't have what I needed. No they are not singles.
This truck has been equipped with these exact chains for a few years and have been used by others than just me. No problems, ever.
Just when I was starting to like you, you have to let that FSJ driver attitude shine on through again.
Go train someone else, I have enough here to help me. 8) Critiques are best taken when solicited.

COLT 11-14-2006 07:23 PM

W.T.F. I AM RIGHT, I tried not to step on your feelings, I TRIED, I am right about those chains. If you wern't so hard headed, you might learn somthing... Luv COLT

Hey if you were such a super trucker you'd a noticed my tires were completely bald, think maybe thats why they didn't fit right?
hahaha
Yes, I just picked up the truck from the tire shop.
LN

COLT 11-14-2006 08:27 PM

I did notice that your tires looked like, well not the type I would want. I guess I said enough, I know you heard me... We are on the same team:)

COLT 11-14-2006 08:38 PM

No ROADHOG, I'm not gay, (not that there's anything wrong with it) Seinfeld  We are on the same team, same HWY. I have lots of experience...

Mackman 11-14-2006 11:25 PM

COLT 11-14-2006 11:32 PM

LadyNorthStar 11-16-2006 08:02 AM

COLT 11-16-2006 11:39 PM

COLT 11-16-2006 11:55 PM

Kinda cold and snowy for Nov. 16, we have had allot of snow already... Dam snowplow driver hates me, I'm sure  He's seen my new 35" tires and just wants to see what they can do? I'm not lazy... but I have a long driveway, too long to shovel. The loader at work doesn't have a plate for road use. Gona have to buy a quad  I took this pic thru the window this morning at sunup, looks cold eh.

COLT 11-16-2006 11:59 PM

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1.../SMALLPIPE.jpg THERE WE GO ?

LadyNorthStar 11-17-2006 06:21 AM

Dang chilly here too, and definately more snow than last year.

Colt, you'll be happy to know I'm getting a new set of chains. My co-worker used one today to pull start my truck (did you believe trucks have personalities? Mine won't start every time someone else goes to use it, or breaks down...every...time) anyway, he busted it all up. New chains for me.

I think that horse frightens me a little.

Some one was telling me about snow the other day. Something about frozen water falling from the sky, it even sticks to the ground sometimes. He was lying. We all know water doesn't freeze at 100 degrees. They think just because we are from Texas, we will believe anything.

COLT 11-19-2006 12:28 AM

New jewelery eh, fancy. I've gone thru several sets a year... What kind of tires did you get? Most trucks run Bridgestone 775 around here. ON/OFF road tread, they work good when new. We all try to get new ones this time of year. Some tires are a "high volume" casing, new chains don't allways fit... New tires, new chains, chains will stretch first use... well, more than a hill. I carry some (10) of those, "quick link" things in my tool box. they are like a chain link with a threaded side that will open and close with a deep nut, hard to explain. Hint, hint  What a guy, using your tire chain to pull with...? Should've just used your tow strap  ... 14 day forecast... 10 snow days, 1 freezing rain(tomorrow, I asked for the day off) 3 sun/cloud... I should take a pic of the snow on my roof  It's only mid November

If your talking about pixel size with regards to posting a picture then it would be 100 dpi, the same as the monitor. Anything more is a waste and quality will suffer.

Krzysztof 11-19-2006 05:37 AM

I think Colt was referring to the image size not the actual DPI of the image :)

Where I live, we just keep the good season all year long.

COLT 11-24-2006 02:57 AM

Are we gona let this thread slide... I took a pic of caribou yesterday, one had, only one side of his rack... I got more...

LadyNorthStar 11-24-2006 03:46 AM

I've had a couple nice days of weather, I was even in your town yesterday, Colt.
Did however see an Edge truck Northbound, just past Buckinghorse on the hill, all zig zagged. He had spun out I guess and gone backwards with a curtainside B train. Tractor, A box and B box were each pointing in a different direction, taking up both lanes. I was kicking myself for not having my camera at my side and ready to go as it usually is.

COLT 11-24-2006 12:56 PM

I seen a truck like yours at Humptys the other day. The truck I complained about being on the wrong side spunout m.126 hill was a curtainside Edge, his truck had a "wee Pete" (his name) :) sign in the window  That hill at Buck is sneaky, doesn't look bad, but it's long. The driver probably stopped at the Road kill cafe. They used to sell a shirt with a menu on it, road kill menu  Great humor. What were you doin in my neighborhood?

We quite often have to go down further South to rescue our tired, whiny city drivers. In this case, the driver had fallen out of his truck and they couldn't find someone to replace him till the next day. :?
We'd love to paint our trucks and totally disassociate from the city clan. lol

Anyway I was just there for about 3 hours on Wednesday, but I think our trucks stop there lots on their way back to Edmonton.

I had to laugh because I fell out of my truck a few weeks back! They gave me a new Columbia that, of course, doesn't have grab bars like my old one did. So I grabbed for the bar and...........!!
Musta looked pretty funny. I jumped up to look around to see if anyone saw and YUP! there were about 35 guys pounding each other on the back and spilling their cokes.
