Hello y'all! My classmates and I are working on a mock project for our user experience design program. Our "client" specializes in creating GPS products and wants to introduce geocaching as a feature. We're designing the platform for this connection.


Pretty much we'd like to know why you enjoy geocaching and hear some stories from you If you have any pictures or items from your caches to share, we would like to see them too.

LOL!!! It's a 'newer' generation thing G. My grandkids do it, you can go online and find a set of map coordinates and hints on where "it" is and when you find "it" you can check that one off the list. Most of the time you take the small item thats there and leave one of your's for the next person.
Some hiding spots are under rocks, glued under a park bench, inside a fake phone junction box, mounted on a tank at the local VFW or just on top of a mountain in a coffee can. Some have a booklet you sign when you find "it". All sorts of levels and difficulty.

I started to get into this awhile back. Still get emails every week from them.

Still hope to get involved in it some day.

I was going to question the "mock project" idea... but, I caught on. The "platform" is already general knowledge to anyone working in the GPS field. But... nice try.

You CLAIM to be a "student" engaged in learning HOW to build a software platform for a program that already exists... and you are asking "market research" questions from TRUCKERS.... who don't have TIME (or permission) to deviate from assigned routes to look for "caches?" Lol!

IF... and that's a big if... one of the major GPS companies like Garmin, or Navitech, or whatever... is looking for a "profit sector" in offering geocaching to truckers... I CAN give you a "plan" that will accomplish your goals. But... don't patronize us.

As you can see (oh no... you only have ONE post!) Most truckers don't even know what you are talking about. lol.
