Jobs in Indianapolis?
Anybody know of any local gigs around the Indianapolis area? Just ran into some nice information that my brother-in-law's father has a house near the speedway that he's looking to sell for just whats left on the mortgage. I've always wanted to live in Speedway, or near IMS. I've heard there is a rock quarry co. near there, but forgot the name. figure if anybody had some good places to work at around there, maybe you could toss me a name or two? i'd appreciate it.

My buddy is the Executive Chef at the Adams Mark Hotel in Indy, if you are looking for something out of trucking.
Why don't you want to stay with Swift?

Check with the local State Employment Office in Indianapolis. Many companies list jobs with them. You should be able to access their website online.

Don't know anything about local things going on in Indy, but IWX has terminals in Indianapolis and Kingman, AZ. No idea what kind of company they are to work for.
Aren't you the guy that turned down loads that went into bad weather? Did you know that the roads get slick in Indianapolis too? As a local driver, you will find no escape from bad roads when the weather hits there. Are you going to call in sick when ever the roads get bad?

i'm the guy who said he'd turn down loads going into areas with a severe winter weather advisory. why can't you just help rather than be an azhole? had you stopped after the first paragraph, it would have been a worth while post.

If you're afraid of bad weather driving, either move to south texas or find another line of work...

wow...gotta love folks that put words into others mouths. never said i was 'afraid' of driving in bad weather, just alot more carefull. But also, not going to take a load into detroit when its forecasted to dump 3 ft of snow on the ground over the next 48 hours, then get stuck, and unable to deliver my load, then get socked with a service failure because i didnt watch the weather report.
If driving on ice and snow dont make you a little nervous, you had better check your pulse.
