With fuel price as high as they are and drivers treating to go on strike. Is now a good time to get into trucking? I've heard that companies are using small truck BOX trucks to carry loads. How a the diesel price effing companies?

There is no need to go and strike.

Analyst are saying fuel should level out around 12 to 15 dollars per gallon

in the not to distant future...(we are in a World Demand Spiral)

We will all be unemployed by then

Im keepin my job till they fire me or go out of bussiness. :moose:

I got into trucking in 98/99 and truckers have were threatening to go on strike for this reason or that reason ever since I got in the game and I have friends who have been at it for 20+ years who say the same thing.

I got into trucking in the very early 60's and there have been truck sticks talked about ever since. Only one that ever went enywhere was the late 70's early 80's (??) when the teamsters all struck. A lot of us indepandants followed along cuz we didn't wana die
Problem with drivers now is if you have three of them discusing a problem and how to solve it you will have four, possibly five, different solutions.
