I have been otr before and I am going to get back out there but I am having a hard time finding a place to park the truck and flatbed while on hometime. I cannot park at my house due to renting. Does anyone have some good suggestions for me to look into?

Local Walmart, shopping center, empty lot, businesses that have trucks, a warehouse close by, a truck stop that is close. Just check with the manger and/or property own first to make sure that it is ok.

Some other ideas:

Boat and RV storage lots
Small trucking companies in the area
Self serve storage facilties with large lots

Some of these you may have to pay a fee to use, but at the same time may be more secure than some others.

Around here (Georgia, South of ATL) almost all Walmarts, Lowes, H.D., and other big stores all have "No Truck Parking" signs posted, and prominent towing companies have put up signs saying they will tow any and all trucks parked there.
The truck stop idea is the last resort according to the company policy too.
I am checking into some of the local storage facilities now, but very few to chose from with room for more then just the tractor...

Everyone wants trucks in town to deliver the goods, but once they deliver they want to wave a magic wand and have them all disappear.

All to common in this day and age.

You may be able to rent a spot at a truck service / sales place.

I always had good luck with local trucking companies (even the sand and gravel outfits.) It's not unheard of to have to pay a small fee, but often you will get to park in a secure, or at least semi secure area which is worth the price of admission IMO

So, what is your point? Everyone wants their garbage picked up too, but you surely won't find the trucks parked in the neighborhood. :lol:

Sadly, drivers just have to look in the mirror to find why less business want trucks parking. Not to mention the garbage left behind and the damage to landscaping caused by trucks trying to enter lots not designed for them.
