Thank You Mattangcobra, I passed my cdl permit test this morning and have been saving all of these links since the end of March plus spending hours on here reading everyones posts. It's going to be an on going project to help others out. Have a good weekend.

I hope your as curtious on the road as you are on here. If everybody spend half the time and effort you have helping others out this industry and the world would be a better place. We need alot more people like you in this industry. Keep up the good work. Also when you get out on the road, don't let those idiots rub off on you. Most NOT all would rather step on your hand than help you up. Hope everything goes well when you get out here.

As far as driving:
Hopefully going to do expediting when I retire in a few yrs and drive for someone else at first. But will have to pay my dues. I drive a straight tanker and 5500 k tanker now and then. People pull out in front of us and run the station red light big time. Gotta have your head on a swivel, act,react and not get pissed. They will be there when I get there.

No lifeguard at the gene pool:
I just ignore road warrior types and say to myself" there goes idiot number one,two,three or whatever. I read somewhere about "labeling" helping us and being able to make you let go and not let it get to you. It's a full time job coping some days but it works along with exercise to get rid of the adrenelin your body pumps out. So it's tough on any profession but we are all survivors.

Kurbski-- thanks, that audio version of the flordia's CLD book was wonderful. Being from Tennessee I hate everything about Flordia because of the gators, :evil: but for you ill make an exception.

I hear ya about the gators. I use to eat with my family at a little place in Newport TN all the time. I couldn't believe the stories and way our regular waitress and her family were treated in Gainesville by some so called fans. My wife left her purse in there under the table one day and it was secured till we went back into town. Nice Folks there for sure.

Great site Kurbski, especially the load securement section. This was very helpful to me. I have been waiting for Maverick to call so I can get to thier school. This was the first site that I have seen with this info. Best of luck to you and thanks for the link. :wink:
