Default What do you call this kind of trailer?

Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a van trailer. The one I'm looking for is like the ones used by Club Car to haul their golf carts in. It has a double floor that is raised/lowered by a winch in the back of the trailer. It can be raised all the way to the ceiling of the van, or the back half of the upper deck can be ramped down to the main floor, to drive the equipment off the upper deck.

Can someone help me? What do you call this kind of trailer? Who do you know that can build this for me? I contacted Club Car, and they said they lease all their equipment from Ryder.

Thanks.

I believe it would be called a two tier box trailer. However I couldnt find anyone who sells them. Most likely they would be custom made. Surely you could call Ryder and ask. Perhaps they have used ones they are trying to sell or they could let you know who builds them.

Thank you for responding. Club Car did tell me that they lease their trailers from Ryder. I would assume that either Ryder or a contractor custom reworks the trailers.

I wonder who I have to pay to get Ryder to call me back? Grr.... I've left 3 messages....

Did you try to call one of the places they sell their used stuff from. They would probaly have a list of trailers for sale and where they are.

Go with a E-Z GO trailer. They are using E-Z GO's at The Masters this week.

Mention in your message that it's an important matter and if they can't call YOU back maybe they would prefer to deal with your lawyer.

You should get a response back in less than an hour...

Try this website. www.kytrailer.com. I believe these are the people who manufacturer this type of trailer.
