I pull a flatbed,I load & unload alot of times when there is Boyd Brothers trucks are around,For the most they seem happy with them.I've been told that they try to run you close to home if you want.one driver told me he was home every weekend & some time's once or twice during the week.

Roadrunner:I can't answer your question, because I don't know how they pay (mileage or percentage),
But it seems to me that most flatbed Co,pay percentage,The one I work for does & I do fairly well with it.although I run my butt off,I'm home every weekend,& sometimes during the week.last week I was home 2 night's.

thats cool, but its ok, i just got another offer from SWIFT, so i'm taking that, they responded first and faster...hehehe
Hey RoadRunner. I saw a Boyd truck today. It was parked in a shopping center in Goldsboro, NC. Think the driver was probably taking a short break. Truck looked pretty decent. So that's all I know, they apparently pull in NC.

I wouldn't be sold on swift too fast.Explore your options. You can do better if you try.Boyd Bros. require 3 Months experience before you can drive. That's what they told me.Check out Trans-am or US Express. They're automatics and that means less work.Hey!Originally Posted by RoadRunner9501

Do ya think they'd let him say bad stuff about em'?Originally Posted by Jagerbomber
I picked up one of those free trucking magazines a few weeks agao and the cover story was an interview with a now owner operator with Boyd Bros. that has been with them for I think it was 10 years, i think he said he went with them staright out of school and has not found a single reason to leave yet. He made the place sound really good. Other than that, I'm not sure about them. .
Or that he would be dumb enough to say bad stuff about em?
