slimland...when i said evil i meant sin sin=evil evil=sin

IMOP I do not think Sin = Evil!

In my past discussions on this board, I have stated IN MY OPINION, that Evil in its purest form, Glorifies God. For it is the Law, the temtation. For the Temtation is not, but the Fall is what gets ya.. and that Fall is Sin.

Solomon told us to not be Overly Righteous, Nor be Overly Evil. But to balance.

As for the debate, I think of it as more of a discussion, and this time other than the response I gave you. I am going to play the devils advocate this time.

Thanks for the compliment, but I don't realy think I know more, I just like to think outside the box, and In order to do that, you have to be open minded and read out side that box, then make your own analisis.

I have to disagree, nothing about evil glorifies God! Also be careful how you word this, but not be overly righteous, you need to put this in context or it doesn't sound right. He is talking about not being overly 'religious' I.E. Making it all about the 'law' and 'consequences' of law.

Sin/evil keeps man from being god like(like god wants us to be like him, we are made in his image)...nothing about evil/sin glorifies god!!!!!! without sin we wouldnt know righteousness, without rightousness we wouldnt know sin. God gives us FAITH, the ablility to believe the unseen. If you dont have faith/christ you have nothing. As far as making my own analysis like slimland said, i just take the bible as its word.

I was going to call the internet police (Rev) and report that my thread has been hijacked, But I cant tell if it has been or not. I really didnt think it would become a thread about religion, But what the heck, It is still an interesting read.

One of my favorite quotes of all time "Without Religion you would have good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things, but to get good people to do bad things that takes religion."
