I see that you pulled a lot of Old Testament examples from Deuteronomy and Leviticus(Gods covenant with Israel), these were the laws given Moses by God before Jesus Christ.

I think we all need to decipher the Bible for ourselves and make sure we do our best to follow it. I however do not feel we need to run the country according to our individual interpretation of the Bible or whatever holy book you decide to base your beliefs off of.. When the Fed lowered the interest rate, for the bailout, it immediately made the American dollar sink even further in value in relation to world currencies!! Your money was IMMEDIATELY worth less!! This made the price of oil IMMEDIATELY cost more! Remember the price of oil is based on the value of the American dollar! Basically you and your family took a 20% pay cut to pay for this administrations and Congresses failings.

And it took the Viet Cong three years after we left to finally win, we left in 72.

Bolsheviks beating the greatest army of their day, well it wasnt the Czars army and the Russians surrendered to the Germans at Brest Litovsk in 1917. If you mean the Russians of the Second World War those were Soviets and they sure didnt beat the Germans on their own.

Our economy was doing fine until 2006 elections and even though I do not blame the Democrats for the economy they were promising change in 2006 which I have yet to see occur. Anyone else notice that after the Irag war started going good the press and Democrats started talking about our bad economy 24/7 and is it a wonder that things take a turn for the worse.

We still have not had negative growth period.

As for our Soldiers its a volunteer army any soldier who is there is there of their own free will.

I have lived over seas twenty years military and civilian, middle east and europe, our problem is we are spoiled rotten, our government copies the same behaviour we all exhibit(I am guilty too) spend and spend and borrow for stuff we dont need half the time.
I have yet to see a country that lives as well as we do and we moan and groan just because the economy slows down.
God help us if we really hit by something like the Depression our Grandparents or Parents experienced thy were used to having little and working much harder. America took longer to recover from it than almost every other country why because Roosevelts great social plans(they actually prolonged it.)
Democrats, Republicans they are both guilty of fiscal irresponsibilty.

Let Obama make his changes, we can boot him in four years, but just remember CHANGE goes both ways and I have yet to hear him talk about cutting taxes and spending(McCain either) which is the only thing proven to work. The German economy didnt start to grow until they started cutting taxes and spending. They had 10-11% unemployment
for years and under 2% growth, after the Social Democrats got booted and taxes cut things started to go upwards.

We all need to start saving,guit buying crap on credit and demand that our politicians not spend one cent until our budget is balanced.
