Last week California Highway patrol paced me doing 65 in a 55 zone.

My question is, has anybody on here hired a lawyer and beat a speeding ticket in Cali?
I’m wondering if it’s worth hireing a lawyer to try and fight the ticket.

That might make a difference, in sanctuary status, I don't know.

Was the CHP a queer?... most of them are. If you have him on video, blowing you a kiss, as he left, that could be sexual harassment.

Too bad you can't plead not guilty due to the fact your in a sanctuary state! 10 over I'd be thinking about a lawyer, or at the least call the court and ask what the fine will be either way. Then call your insurance carrier and your company and talk to them. Then make the decision. They the DA may make a deal for a guilty plea but 10 over doesn't give them much room to work with, next time go faster!

I think I will spend the money on a lawyer, and see what happens.

I'm sure the "pay per month" Trucker lawyer groups are out there still. I suggest that drivers invest in those. Personally, I would pay up if i were guilty of something. I have received two citations.. both were bogus and both I went to court (at great risk of greater fines) and beat. Best advice is let the other party make their case and then tell the truth to the judge.. the judges I've ever had anything to do with seem to HATE BS.. and if you speak to the issues.. have a darned good understanding of the law or regulation that you have supposedly violated and why its nonsense.. you stand a chance of beating it.

It is also interesting to know how it all ended, although I had a similar story. When I was moving from the USA, I had to go on the Autobahn at high speed, but there was a stop sign at the fork/ So I`d stopped, and the cops immediately came up to me and told I shouldn't. it s strange, is this how they work? I had to contact my lawyer, who does not know click here; because I was not going to pay a fine for public movement sign order fulfilling. I have proved it because there was a registrar, and the fine was canceled, but I cannot sell the car or drive it to another country. It somehow works for a law or a betray ...
