Default Am I officially 'Old' now?

My only child, my baby, my little girl, is getting married today. Even though I think she's too young, I was 2 years younger when I was married the first time.

Well Malaki I've got three daughters ages 30, 28, and 18 and I know how you feel. When my 28-year-old got married for the first time it just didn't seem possible as it seemed like yesterday that I was changing her diaper. For a good and proud feeling just wait until the first grandkid is born (I've got 9 now). And when that grandbaby starts calling you Grandpa you'll really start feeling old!

I wish your daughter all the best, and may God bless her!

Didn't we become "officially old"... when we turned 30?

I felt old when my Niece that was 19 had her First Child. I was 8 when she was born. Her son is now in 2nd grade. He will graduate HS before my oldest child will. You know how old that makes me FEEL. I have Great Nephews that are higher in school than my OWN kids. My youngest son is still in diapers. If I am lucky he will be out of HS when I am 53 Colledge if I can afford it at 57.

As much as I'd love to have grandkids, I don't want them to start showing up too soon. 5-10 years down the road, sure. Just not yet.

Y'all are really startin' to make me feel like a young 'un.
The way I look at it, do you wake up and think "I feel old?" If not, you ain't old... yet.
