The venezia truck never hit the brakes hit the dump truck going around 45-50mph i was told. Dump truck was stop at a red light.

I was told that when i was at venezia driving for them. I seen that truck up close in the yard. Its hard to believe the driver lived. You see the neck on the dry bulk trailer?? Ripped the 5th wheel right off the frame.

I saw that, at first I thought the cab had been pushed back into the trailer but then you see that 5th pic and see how the 5th wheel folded up like an accordian.

Told that while at Venezia, whew, for a second I was gonna ask if that was you the Venezia truck had run into the back of.

Had bad was the driver injured? Did he 'walk away' or did they have to haul him in to the hospital?

Oh they hauled him to the hospital. He was in the hospital for months. Not sure how long but they guy at venezia just told me months. He was messed up bad.

He said if he would of been driving one of the petes he might not have lived. He was telling me about how good the Volvo does for crashes. With air bags and all that.

I drove for Veneiza about 3 years ago. Didn't last long after i added up my pay and hours and found out i was only making an avg. of 10/hr. So i left there fast and went back into dump trucks and RGNs

And yes you are getting old.:lol:

That driver is one lucky SOB to be alive today.

WOW!!!!! I can't believe the driver lived through that one. I suppose that it is just not his time.
