She said to move the trailer tandems 7 holes back, the 5th wheel she just said get it as close as possible :P
2) Just WHERE did you take the wrong turn to go out of route?
It wasn't a wrong turn, he had the GPS programmed but somehow it was set for Chicago and not Boston, realized it when the GPS was saying to take I64 West bound!
(this is just for my personal information.)
I hope it all works out well for you..... FINALLY!
Also, as a bit of a poet myself.... I also enjoyed your addition to your sigline.
And, having met you.... I can second the sentiment from Belpre that you truly are an optimistic and "dedicated" trucker! I doubt that I would have had the patience to go thru what you did this week...let alone the last year!
As I always say... Trucking is NOT for Wusses! You, Matcat... are no Wuss!
Best of luck!
Thanks!
No not BD :P, and I personally didn't actually end up going to Boston.
Got to PA, I did my laundry and took a shower in Greencastle. He continued to Boston, and I road with his dad up until a few hours ago. His dad usually drives team but his co-driver wasn't available yesterday, so I filled in. Also a Pete 379 but with an 18 speed auto shift. I really did not like the auto-shift at all. Sure it's nice to not have to fool with the stick, BUT I could shift up to 18 much quicker then it would ever do, and I really didn't like how it would keep the RPMS between 15 to 2000.
Belpre, I will take you up on that offer next chance I get :P
I am actually right now sitting in the truck I will be driving. A Pete 379 with 18 speed manual, 500hp cat. Truck itself is 2001, same as his dad's truck minus the auto-shift. Tomorrow I will take the boss's truck down to Florida with a load, and pick up from a few farms with a load coming back up. While I am doing that he is going to get this truck ready, need's an PM, and steers.
Now I got a question, him and his dad both insist that the Jake is BAD for these trucks, saying it will quickly cause head gasket to blow?! They both say not to use it at all unless really needed. I never heard of such a thing myself.
