Caffeinated drink of choice?
Haven't perfected this yet, even though I been driving about 1yr and half. Basically the best thing to do is get enough sleep and than you are good. But when you don't get enough, what do you do? I'm not drinking a 2 liter bottle of Vault or mountain dew no more because a + b= c so I got to pee way too often. I tried Rockstar and monster recently. My verdict with that is for the price it doesn't work that much better than Vault but of course I don't need to pee as often but I did drink 3 cans and still wasn't too energized. Maybe is it as easy as just getting a large coffee from pilot, huh? So what's your drink? (......or pill or whatever keeps you up for the long drive?)

Get adequate rest if you can. Don't eat heavy meals, but rather light snacks. Those energy drinks can make you crash big time and anything with caffine is a diuretic (makes you wee). Try getting out and having a walk break on occassion. I do coffee... but if you add a lot of sugar, you are going to crash. HTH

I think I am hooked on Red Bull now. Used to drink the regular, but have been consuming the sugar-free as of late. I buy it in bulk from that big warehouse store where the all the old geezers hang out near the food court. Just love the taste of that stuff. Do not see how many truckers can drive and drink coffee all day long. But to each his own. This is kinda of random, but did you know that the Rockstar Energy brand was created by the son of the Ultra-Conservative,right wing, propagandist talk show host Micheal Savage. Anybody ever listen to him? Maybe you should.

i'll go with vodka-red bull mixes. it's a wonderful thing being so damn drunk that i could pass otu but can't due to the red bull.
michael savage is a *****. he's just as bad as bill o'reilly with the spin and propaganda. however, i find savage to be more comical when he goes on his rants and tirades.

Plain old coffee gets me through most days, I fill up a cup and a thermos in the morning and nurse it through till late afternoon. I used to be able to drink coffee right up until bed time and not have any trouble at all sleeping but I've noticed over the last couple of years that it is starting to make it harder to fall asleep so I won't drink anything with caffeine in it within 3 or 4 hours of going to bed.
If I have a hard time sleeping for whatever reason and I need a little extra boost towards the end of the day I'll either drink a Rockstar or one of those 5 hour energy shots, both last about 3 hours for me before a spectacular crash comes along... meaning I watch the clock and make damn sure I'm pulled over and in bed before that 3 hour time limit because I'm going to sleep, no questions asked.
