I've been looking at those...but how awful that you cna't pick and choose what song you want to hear...or see what's playing. She may just have to be happy with that.

Well, good. I just found one on Craig's List, new still in the box for $35. It's in Midland, though...I'll have to see if my husband can be troubled to go meet the person and buy it. Otherwise, I'll just get her one here...maybe at Best Buy or somewhere where so I can get a warranty. Maybe I can do a little better than the 1GB...

i got my kids the cheap version of the ipods. i think a slyvannia. it was $25 on sale at toyrus. it's 1BG and can hold pictures. she is only 7 so she could care less whether it's an 'ipod' or not. but she loves her mp3 player.

I think its like 20GB or something. I'm pretty sure I paid $250 for it, then the accessories to put it in the truck, then some more accessories.

That is what I hate about buying stuff for my kids. They always want something REALLY BAD. Then I get it for whatever occasion...like birthday or Christmas. Then, they REALLY wanted something else. I have buyers remorse constantly!

Ah ok. I figured it had something to do with it..
I see people (mostly younger) walk around with earphones, listening to their music, etc. I guess I aint never really had a hankerin for that stuff.

When I upgraded my cell phone a while back, the guy was telling me what all my phone has. (MP3 etc) He was telling me how nice it is to have that. He said, "you being a truck driver, and I'm sure you get into places where there arent any good radio stations. That's where the MP3s come in handy." I was like, I have Sirius, why would I need all that junk? :lol: My wife just rolled her eyes.
