Default Winter's Coming

With winter coming, I was wanting to build some ramps to lift the truck's wheels off the ground to help make chaining up easier when the time comes (and we all know it will). :x I've been looking on the Internet but haven't been able to find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ummm, go to the local Lowes or Home Depot or whatever and buy you some 2X12's and build your own. Yeah, they might be heavy as dog-doo but it's prolly cheaper. That is what we use, homemade ramps for changing tires on the road or just jacking the truck up off the ground so we can get under it easier.

Make your own like I did or buy these from Iowa 80.

The one time I saw anyone put chains on (he was an old timer) he set a chunk of 4x4 under the inner tire of each drive tandem. Then he pulled onto those, which lifted the outer tires off the ground. Voila.

Myself - screw chains. I'll stay in areas where they're not even legal to use.

Listen to you guys! Holy crap what a bunch of wus's. lol

The 4x4 under the inner tire sounds good too, but if you only need to put singles on you probably don't need them at all.

Who the heck carries singles anyway?

Grab a sence of adventure, don't you get bored?

Thanks, but for those of us who are (un)lucky enough to live where it doesn't snow or we don't venture into the snow very often it's quite easy to drive up on some blocks to throw a set of chains.
