I bought a radio and a new antenna. Installed it and started to adjust the SWR's. I was cutting the antenna and the SWR's were coming down. I started at four and now I'm at two, but I've already taken 6 or 7 inches off and the SWR's aren't dropping any lower than 2. I stopped cutting and was going to take it to the cb shop where I bought it to let him finish it up but I thought I might throw it out for any suggestions. The antenna is a Workman model B-500. Couldn't find a pic on the net for it.
Ideas?

Well, thanks alot Fred. I was reading the freaking web page for hours. I'm going to buy a meter today and play around with analyzing all my CB components. I also have an OHM meter and will test the cable. I'll post my results and what I find.

The instructions included with the meter are good for nothing and don't even mention what the switches are for.
Just about as good as Rusty's secret diet that he won't tell us about. If it's white, it aint right? Avoid anything that ends in toes? WTF
