Default Best Legal Services insurance for acc/tickets... Open Road?

I tend to stay away from the salespeople at truckstops selling legal services insurance for accidents and tickets. Heard they are pretty useless when you actually need them.

I think I bumped into one that appears reputable.

Has anyone had any experiences with "Open Road". They appear reputable and seems like a good idea to have legal services coverage.

Could anyone recommend a good company?

    Is it really worth it?

    Thanks

Stay away from all of them. None of them do anything for you that you cannot do for yourself.

All most of them do is refer you to a local lawyer. You can do that for yourself. The monthly fee you pay is primarily for them to refer you to a local attorney, should you ever need one. Some do offer a certain amount of legal advice access from one of their attorney's. You could find a local attorney that could offer the same advice and if you ever need a lawyer in some other part of the country your local attorney could find someone for you or you could get the yellow pages and find one yourself. That is all the referral services do.
