My dad wrecked his semi and it was deemed totaled and he picked up an 07 KW yesterday. We just paid our 2290 back in July and was wondering if it's possible to transfer the remaining portion of it to the new truck.

I did a search but all I found was someone saying they won against the IRS which wasn't very helpful.

Does anyone know anything about this or where I can be pointed in the right direction?

Yes you can transfer it. Bring the new truck BOS and proof of the old truck totaled.

I just transfered my 2290 from my old truck to my new truck yesterday.

Aww... yeah we're on the fence with the insurance company right now. They told us we have 60 days to bring them proof the vehicle was totaled but they're seriously trying to possibly fix this mangled truck so if they don't then we would have had to pay it anyways.

Just paid $550 in July, now back downtown to IRS to pay it again... what a waste!
