First question I have is, do a lot of companies still limit the age of the truck to 5 years? (Not talking about Landstar or Mercer)
Arrow lists '07s in the high 30Ks and low 40Ks, so the price isn't out of line, if all is in good shape. How old is the turbo, and how many miles on the clutch. Either one can cost you. Also, drain the air tanks and see how much oil you have coming out, and check the bottom of the air dryer for oil. Air compressors ain't cheap either. I'm not a big fan of Detroit, but they do move a lot of freight, even with the nut-case that designed the EGR. Check the air hoses to the front wheels for weather-checking, and the plastic ones coming out of the firewall by the steering shaft. Anything close to the steering shaft could be getting rubbed through. (I got put out of service for that once) Little things can add up too.
