Water manifold is where the thermostat goes, I believe.
Its right above the water pump. last time I did a pump it was around $500.00 over the counter.

yeah i found that out. i'm livid that the water manifold is covered but not the water pump. Cleveland brothers cat in harrisburg is doing the job for me for $850 + the ELC coolent and a bottle of PH. i guess its not a terrible price.

just needed this like a hole in the head. i had all plans on leaving the rail by the middle of next month and running under my own mc #'s.. oh well thats the business right? good thing is by the end of next week i hope to have my tripak on the truck.

Cat water pumps are never covered for much, over the years they (the pumps) have gotten better, still not as good as other manufacturers, I had an 1980 KW with a 3406A, had it for 5 years.......new pump every year.....at least they were only $160.00 or so then, guess its why I can change 'em so fast now............LOL

I feel your pain.......broke a brake drum on my trailer Friday, wasn't really planning for that.........keeps it interesting I guess.....

the thing is where i am there is no shops around, i dont trust back yard mechanics and i REFUSE to pay freightliner $121 an hour. the way i look at it cats are so picky (especially a bridge motor) i'll let cat deal with it. no time is a good time i just can not stand pulling these rail containers anymore. i'm willing to bet my PS pump will go totally next.. thats just how my luc is.
