    Default 10 meter CB Radio

    Hi Everyone,
I am going to buy a new cb and wanted to get the opinion of everyone about which is the best radio and most powerful. I am tired of not being able to talk to someone farther than a mile if lucky. I heard about 10 meter radios. I live in DFW area Texas can anyone tell me of a good place to go that is not going to take advanage of my ignorance of cb's. I can use some help.

    Thanks,
    Charles

If you live in the Metromess go up to Bowie (on HWY 287-about an hour north of Ft Worth). There is a CB shop behind the Armadillo truckstop. Rusty's CB Shop. His number is 940-531-0828. That's his cell phone, so you might want to call him during regular business hours.
Rusty knows his stuff! He is the only man that will ever touch my radios. He has some CONNEX radios, and he can even build one for ya. He can dang sure help ya out.

If you are looking into 10 Meter radios, you might look into CONNEX. They are high, but they can dern sure reach out and touch someone! Galaxy radios are good too, from what I've heard.
Be sure to give Rusty a call tomorrow. He can sure help ya out.

Don't tell Radio Ray, but buy a Galaxy 95t or a Connex. The connex out of the box that gives you 400 watts. Shop online and have your radio in a couple of days. I try to shop local, but sometimes the deals can't be beat online.

I'm pretty sure the connex your thinking of 400 peaked...and 200 outthe box...the 95t is 200 peaked and 100 out the box .

Connex 4600TURBO is the BIG BOY....... next I would with a 95T or 93T Galaxy.

STAY AWAY from the Cobra 200GTL, I got one and hate the damn thing. It has been in my garage since the day I bought it and had it tuned.....

I then bought a 4600Turbo and wont ever go back.

This is where I buy my radios from. Just picked up a General Lee from him. It is by far the best radio I have ever owned. Its VERY loud and clear and when I flip the switch on the DM 2x4, 99% of the time I get the last word The guy is the Best in the business.

With CB radios, you have to have your SWR set right, you have to have good coax(not from a truck stop) and you have to have a good antenna. Like heavyhaulerss said go to http://www.cbradiotalk.com and get your self a little educated, or you can just call Michael at Radioactive Radios and he will educate you for free. He will not cheat you or sell you what you dont need either. You will also have a LIFETIME warranty on the radio as well.

For a radio where you can just hook up to the neg and pos posts, you cant beat em. You will definatly get heard at the Truck Stop when you are parked

I can get out about 22 miles barefoot with mine (when conditions are right). That was talking to a CB shop though, but still its an amazing radio with AWESOME ears and even better AUUUUDDDIIIOOOO!!!!!!!
