Default Trucking consultants, life coaches and business coaches.....

...when you read a potential coach's pitch most often you'll find something like this:

Does a baseball team NEED a coach?

Does a singer need a coach?

And they go on and on with such Q's

The obvious answer is: OF COURSE THEY DO!

Then they try to convince you that YOU NEED a coach.

I perssonally do think coachs are a necessary evil.

There's a membership website that charges $250,000/yr. for their services (this I'd guess is for BILLIONAIR-minded entrepreneurs).

So, question IS: does anyone out there know of a couple GOOD trucking coaches?

Does Twilight Flyer do consulting/coaching?

-just wondering AND hoping.

Coaches help propspective/talented people. If someone uses a coach with little or no skill, then the coach will either get fed up with their protege or not be able to coach well. Trucking coahes can be a good thing, but an entry level trucker trying to reach the top right away will fail. Some people don't want to research something and put in the work to be succesful.

I'd have to disagree. The only people, that can't be "coached", is the people who won't listen! Or only hear, what they want to hear!

Guys like Tony Robbins who are life coaches seem to make really good money. Old Tony didn't take his own advice though and got divorced from his wife so I am not sure about him or what he preaches.

I guess a coach can be a good thing if you are trying to do something specific. From what I have seen and read, the biggest thing about coaching is having an accountability partner. You know, someone to hold your feet to the fire if you don't do what you said you would do. You could make your own coaching situation with a co-worker or friend. Sit down with that person, identify a weakness you need to correct and formulate a game plan to get it done. Then set benchmarks on the attainment of the goal and report back to your partner on a regular basis. It doesn't seem that hard and..it would be free rather then hundreds or thousands of dollars in coaching fees.

read "how to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie or "think and grow rich" (??) by Napoleon Hill. The ideas these coaches spout are all outlined in these books from the turn of the century....the early 1900s.

I do.

I charge $250,000 a year, plus travel expenses, paid in advance. I'll bill you and then we can get started.
