    Default FedEx Contractor

Does anyone know what steps to take to become a contractor with FedEx? Is it worth the money?

I live close to Memphis. See them all the time! I heard they make good money but are on a tight schedule and one speeding ticket and you are gone.

They make good money as a team. I checked their pay scale for solos and it wasn;t that impressing.

I found out that if you have 3 late deliveries and/or 2 violations they will let you go. We would be running as a team. Just wanted to know if anyone here has went thru their contractor program?

Thanks for the responses DD60 and pigrider!!

do a search for my thread I started back in april or may I just became a fedex ground contracto this summer and run one team truck that I have drivers in. since I have gotten my team things are going well they have driven over 5,000 a week running on the extra board and seam to get along well. I'm paid @1.04 PM and pay the drivers .40 cpm and split the miles between them. a friend of mine runs 7 trucks for them and is looking to buy 3 more. I'm not sure what starting pay is around .99 cpm I think wich doesn't sound great but we can buy fuel at the hubs for $1.24 per gallon and when you need to fuel outside of the hubs we get a FSC. any other ?? just ask.
