Default New company

Hi guys am new at this, and my friend that owns a box truck business
Has told me to look into this business. So I did and today am planning on opening up my company using a 24feet box truck. I have a business plan and I wanted to hear any suggestions from you guys about what should I do or what should I change, so if you can help me do this as easy as possible please help.

These are my orders of operation

1. Going to town hall and opening up the company and get Tax ID
2. Open up a Business Account
3. Sign up with get loaded
4. Get mc and DOT Numbers
5. Get insurance Quote
6. Rent the 24 feet box truck, just for a Month to start the company
7. Get business credit cards
8. Sign up with a payment center so I can get paid when I drop the loads off

Any suggestions on anything let me know also if there is any other sites that you know where I can book loads also let me know.

I really want to just work delivering for a company like Macy or something big, I heard they pay good or a furniture store. But using my own truck.

Take your time on this venture. Know as much as you possibly can about ALL the financial aspects. How everything is done. Know every cent that is required and know when and from whom you will get that money. Checkout http://www.truckershelper.com/operationscost.php Do NOT assume that any of the business will just come together. Study hard and long. Do not assume that the business credit cards will be a financial answer. They should be paid off every month. Not doing so may become your end. Any money you put into the business you could end up losing, or worse.

You should talk the ears off of people who are doing the exact work that you want to do, and who are doing it in the same geographical area you want to work. That is the most accurate source for this info that you are asking about. Approaching strangers can sometimes be necessary. My suggestions are minimum things. Not doing them may bring you failure or cost you an unreal amount of money beyond what you would expect.

As far as the legal setting up of the company, since it is an in-state operation, your state Department of Transportation will have details on the requirements, etc. I think.
