There are a lot more, A LOT, of drivers today with an education than ever before. It's not necessary to have a college degree but why not? It's an excellent fall back if driving doesn't work out for you. People are tired of the typical office setting, me, I would rather be in a normal office setting at times. Days in the winter when its raining/snowing and cold......
I didn't choose to drive, I like driving, but my company needed a driver. I got training and my CDL on the company dime! Some of us don't have a choice, its all there is for a job outside of working in a coal mine or such. Depends on the area you live in, may not be such a thing as a normal 9-5 job.
