The future I do not know,

What? Only ONE?? ONE axle... and only ONE pup?

And you have problems backing THAT "combo" into a restaurant parking lot?

Okay, digs aside, Double R.... I have a question:

I see Sysco doubles all the time on my route. They are Reefer units. I've pulled reefer, so I ain't "skeert" of 'em. Question is, who makes more money? You local "lumpers" or the linehaul guys that "feed" you?

Any info would be appreciated, but mostly info on the linehaul end of it.

Not that I ain't making BANK pulling linehaul for FedEX.... but, I like to keep my ears to the ground.

Not sure with SYSCO. Ask Jackrabbit, he linehauls for them. He would know best. I work for a independent food distributor.
As for getting the trailer in to some places, well, let's just say that I'm expect to get into a trailer into a place that was once delivered by a straight truck.

Ooops!! My mistake. I thought I had read where YOU worked for Sysco.

Straight truck...single pup... what's the difference?

Actually, being "articulated," it should be easier for you, right?

Just kiddin! Anyway.... I'll ask Wabbit, thanks!

Well that settles it then, next time I see that chump impostor "Mackman" in the white daycab I'll get up underneath him and put him in the wall.

Yeah I hauled out of there a few times so far this year and I was up there not long ago, sometime in the last two weeks I think. I'm not fond of that place or the Scotts in Oxford, PA, friggin mud holes when it rains, makes my truck dirty.

I delivered to that stupid Scotts a few weeks ago, idiot with his forklift ripped off my crane controller, never said anything to me about it, on top of getting my trailer full of gravel and mulch! Of which the company that owns the trailer van attempted to charge ME for the repairs!

Yeah, I got into it with the little skinny hyper guy over at the oxford place a couple weeks ago. He got fired I heard for racing around the yard like a madman. I actually liked the guy and thought he was a pretty good loader till he got snippy with me, he didn't realize I bite back.

What are the rates like hauling out of there. The guy i talked to was going to Easton PA.

BTW I'm always up and down rt.1 more torwards 476. There is a big quarry at stoneybank road and rt.1 i haul out of alot.

Some people see a single pup and figure he must be a new guy still learning the ropes but at our place thats a guy with alot of seniority. The new guy gets the fu**ed up chit no one else wants. If the new guy has a pup its probably filled with a 500 tire hand unload!

Hobo I dont know what the Rabbit will say but I have talked to the Sysco linehaul guys around here and they told me the delivery guys make more because the job is harder. They get paid by the case and they earn every penny. He said the line haul guys get hourly, cant remember but I think it was under $20 hr? I would think you're better off with FXG. Now in LTL land the linehaul guys usually make more. Go figure.

Rates aren't bad considering the economy right now. It's spotty outta Scotts though sometimes there hot and other times dead. Go buy some mulch and help me keep going will ya?

Look for 359 on the hood, I don't want to post a pic with my numbers.

Actually, the guys that deliver get paid, "productivity" pay. They get paid by the case, stop, etc. The delivery guys make a little more than me, but not too much. On the slow weeks, I still get my 50 hours, but they suffer a little, due to sales being down. As long as I have wiggle wagons to pull I still get my hours, but the sales don't affect me.
