Default Another driver just asked me....

I'm at a truck stop, sitting at a booth with the laptop plugged in, and the guy in the booth behind me asked...

Why don't women want men to go into those adult gift stores? Is it because they don't want us to see how many products there are for women and how few there are for men?

I don't have the answer... Anybody???

Real simple...they don't want compitition from a toy or movie, also its amazing how many women see porn as a disgusting and sick perversion thrust upon the general public by men that are going to burn for eternity...course my wife just tells me...."make sure its a movie I might like as well"

Maybe I should have posted this on the WOMEN'S BOARD. Might have a couple of hundred responses by now. I left the building and went back out to the truck because he has a FIXATION with the subject.

I think it is totally a cultural thing, an American cultural thing. I grew up in Europe, in Germany to be specific, and we (Europeans) view sex as a natural thing, boobs are no issue if you see them at the beach, nudie magazines are just a part of life.

Looking at the naked body is not perverted, breast feeding is natural, and to be honest, I really don't get why there is so much outrage in this country, let's say about the Superbowl, Janet Jackson incident, or more recently Mylie Cyrus posing in Vanity fair.

Now, please, don't get me wrong and tell me to go home, I do like it here, but I hate the bigoted update screaming I am a Christian holier than thou kind of person you see all too often here.

So, the way I see it, it is drilled into people, from a small age, all that kind of stuff is dirty and I guess not knowing any different, most women follow that line of thinking.

    ok, I am done now.

I have to agree Sabine. I lived in Karlsruhe, Ger. for 3 years and when I came back to the states....I was totally shocked about how people thought of the human body.

I don't know. I always seem to be the guy that's finding all the "BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS". Adult gift shops are not the kind of conversation they get into. And, I seem to find them in restaurants, driver's lounges, and on the CB. I've learned that if I don't believe as they do, I'm going to burn in HELL for all eternity.... I believe I generally turn off the CB and let them talk to themselves. Restaurants and driver's lounges require just a bit more tact.

This has been a FIRST for me.

I don't see a problem with the Adult Stores, and I being a Christian will and do go there. Though usauly alone, to get my wife and I somethin to spice it up.. She is kinda shy. I am not.. Everyone IMOP is kinky in there own way on the inside, and on the out. Most are just hypocrits.

Last time I went it was mostly couples. Matbe it's a geographic thing.

I walked into one years ago... Many years ago. I don't remember if there were more things for women or not, but I do remember looking at the selections for men and they were ALL TOO BLOOMIN' SMALL. What do I do... Hang it on the wall and look at it? Must have been produced by women to further frustrate a man. Haven't been in one since. Don't see any point in going if I am not going to find something I can use. Don't even remember how many years ago that was. All I can say is that my own kids were pretty small back then. They're all grown, married, and have kids of their own now. (guess that makes me an old fart now, huh...)

I went to one years back myself. I wasn't impressed with anything I saw there, and left without buying anything....BUT...

I did see something there I might have considered buying that looked like some sort of John Deere tractor attachment for working the soil,
or maybe it was used for shuckin' corn...or I don't know what.
I bet you could also mount the thing on the end of a 1/2" drill chuck, and weed your garden with it.

    ...it probably cost $19.99. :?
