Getting closer to the end of the first year!
And I like how it has been, to say the least :D. So any of you out there who complain about these journals, diaries, etc. don't read this anymore...I'm not going to stop anytime soon. If you don't want to read consistent info week in, week out about getting paid for everything and not having to turn tons of miles to make a good income, stop here. I have no intention of leaving this company. 8) I am wondering if I should ask the mods to make my actual "Tanker info" post a sticky, and have this relocated into a separate Superior Carriers/Carry Transit thread (if Baby Bullseye would ever get her butt back online  ). Hmmm... Just finished another short run here in the GA area a few hours ago, then enjoyed a nice dinner with the "hoser", otherwise known as slacker Grandpa Skywalker, and his lovely wife. Am now taking tomorrow off while waiting for a loaded tank to come in, which I will relay south before taking off most of next week. Anyway, here's what I did last week, which was actually a little better than I thought it would be. Week 47-25 -Markham, IL to Chicago, IL (hook clean tank) -Chicago, IL to Westville, IN (drop clean tank, hook preloaded tank) -Westville, IN to Bristol, VA (customer unload) -Bristol, VA to High Point, NC (drop dirty tank, partial layover) -----High Point, NC (hook preloaded tank) -----High Point, NC to Harrison, OH (customer unload) -----Harrison, OH to Cincinnati, OH (drop dirty tank, partial layover) -Cincinnati, OH to Florence, KY (hook preloaded tank) -Florence, KY to Pasadena, TX (customer unload, drop dirty tank, layover) Gross: $1,468.27 Miles: 2,408 Avg.: $.609/mile Superior Carriers, 2007 Totals: Gross: $25,939.02 (.562/mile) Miles: 46,142 Hours: 528.50 (All hourly pay) Hazmat Loads: 14 Days Working: 133 Days Off: 42 *Totals calculated up to June 24, 2007* Superior Carriers Totals, from July 31, 2006 (Figures including $616.46 training pay, and $400.00 orientation pay) Gross: $47,673.72 (.547/mile) Miles: 87,003 Hours: 927.00 (All hourly pay. Training contributed 47.75 hours) Hazmat Loads: 22 Days Working: 250 Days Off: 79 *Totals calculated up to June 24, 2007* Y'all be safe and have fun ... |

Oh don't even go there about who's paying next time... $72 for the two of us versus what, $35 for the three of us??? You have a little to make up slackazz! Still, I liked the look that woman gave us when I was paying!!! Priceless ! Quote:
Now that Grandpa has been answered... I am sitting in Florida waiting to unload in the morning, then back up to the tank wash, then to the house for the week. As I keep saying, life is good here. Very, very good. Well, I'm going to close this for now and check what's going on in the other threads around the board. Y'all be safe and have a good night  |

Its pretty safe to say ill be doing my year and moving on. Any questions just ask. Mike |
Ummm, uh, I spoke to the "GPS"...and he's still at home "slacking". I took a nap and now I'm here and he's still goofing off!!
Here's my most important "statistic". I got my settlement sheet for the week ending 7/01/07... and I made $910 and change. And I only worked the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th. Four days. And my total earnings for the first 6 months of 2007: $26,484.32. SO right now I am on track to break $53K for the year. I've been home at least 40 or more days in the past 6 months. I realize that some guys will make more than I am, but $53K isn't bad for a year....and being home as much as we are. I'm going to have to actually count my days off according to my log book and see how many there were. 8) |
Still reading your thread Cyanide. :)
Feel like I know you after all this time, been reading since way back when you began at Indian River I think it was. Great travels you have had. Nice to see you still plugging away brother. /wave |
This sucks!
If I keep having weeks like this, Skywalker's going to pass me ! Anyway, I hope this finds everyone well... James, nice to hear from you again! Not a lot going on here, just the same old bump and grind so to say. Next pay week's stats are going to pretty much suck but, considering I was in from very early Monday afternoon and off til the same time on the 9th I can't complain! Anyway, here's my newest updated stats. Y'all be safe and have fun ... Week 48-26 -Pasadena, TX to Deer Park, TX (hook preloaded tank) -Deer Park, TX to Orlando, FL (customer unload) -Orlando, FL to Garden City, GA (drop dirty tank, hook clean tank) -----Garden City, GA to Savannah, GA (live load) -----Savannah, GA to North Augusta, SC (live unload) -----N.
