so far its been pretty good. haven't had to touch any freight yet. everyplace has had a dock and the 2 times i did load my own truck was because i chose to. while he got my check ready i jumped on the fork truck and did it my self just to get out of there a little faster..

altho i have the oldest truck in the fleet, an old international single screw that needs some work but all in all it ain't bad.

Quick question(s) about R&L. Do you get paid time and a half after 40? And what does their linehaul CPM start at?

Pallet jacks, etc.

It is very common for the company to supply these things and you just need to know that they are the property of the company and if you don't return their property, they will charge you for it. Dohrn (Rock Island, IL) will make you pay for a pallet jack if you don't return the one they issue you. It's an expensive item to replace and I don't blame them. But when they make you sign a paper saying you will pay for the DOT physical if you don't stay ONE year, RUN AWAY FAST. Dohrn does that too. GOOD luck ever getting to your first anniversary date there.

I've heard good reviews of R&L carriers in the past. They even have trucking track portal. This is an old thread, anyone has recent first hand experiences with them?
