JB Hunt Chapter 11???

Did anyone else hear that JB filed for Chapter 11? or is it just another channel 19 rumor? I also heard that the pumpkin is buying JB? all BS I suppose??

And I hear that Swift is buying both JB Hunt and Schneider. It's probably a rumor.

current jb driver

nope is just a rumor check out their stock jumping through the roof still

if anything jb is going to buy the great pumpkin charlie brown

especially with all the money they are making screwing over stupid people with their fleece purchase

I would say that is 100% untrue. If a company the size of JB Hunt did file Chapter 11 it would be all over the news.

JB Hunt Vice President and Treasurer David N. Chelette sold 3,524 shares on Friday, May 30th. If JB Hunt was or is going to file a Chapter 11 he would charged with insider trading.

Jb's widow also sold a lot of shares. It would be my guess that between the two major sales it sparked rumors that JB Hunt is in trouble.

Chapter 11 doesnt mean they are going out of business. Companies do it all the time. Nice way to get rid of creditors while you get your head above water again..

Who said they were going out of business?

LARM 06-03-2008 03:12 AM

No, they're too busy not paying drivers layover (I sat yesterday), raising the fuel bonus MPG goal to 6.1 from 5.9 (and then handing you 40,000+ pound loads all week), and generally gouging drivers in every way possible. They'll never go out of business at this rate, but I damn sure won't work for them much longer.

I ran 1450 miles last week. So yesterday I sent a message "hey, I only ran 1450 miles last week, are they working on a preplan that gets me rolling to an area with more freight?" They tell me yes. 3 hours later I get a note to switch trailers with another drive 85 miles away and drive it 140 loaded miles to the receiver, virtually where I was parked already. So after sitting yesterday, that's what I did today and I'm in the same spot now as yeserday. Great.

They're getting really bad.

I set a goal with myself to stay with them til the end of the year, but I don't think I'm gonna make it. I think I'd rather work for 10/hour then deal with these thieves.

Wow. I'm surprised the thread went as far as it did before the Bashing started.
