Who did you settle on...and why?

Well we said yes to Motor Carrier Services but are talking to the recruiter about the escrow account that we found in all the orientation paperwork that we took home to have filled out in advance. It is the only thing that makes me uncomfortable about them.

They pay decent plus have a 3cpm bonus on hazmat loads, a 2cpm bonus going to East coast (and they count PA as east coast) and a 2cpm performance bonus. They will also reimburse you for getting your hazmat (which my husband is currently doing). We went to the terminal and checked them out there as well. Met the President - really friendly guy who actually smiles at his drivers (boy that's a nice change). It just felt really friendly and like a family. We talked to a couple drivers there as well.

All their trucks have APU's. My husband will get home every weekend and usually during the week as well. Layover pay, stop off pay and detention pay are all good. Have a good rider policy. The recruiter puts things in e-mail where most won't. She even called us last night with something and then e-mailed it so we had it in writing. Not forced to NYC but there is extra pay for that and Long Island.

The only thing I don't like is the escrow account (another post) and that they pay bi-weekly.
