I forgot to add, that Werner doesn't pay for $*&!!. They run you to death and don't pay for it.

And I am talking from team experience with them, and from a few people I know who have driven solo with them.

Are you serious? Just grab a dart and start tossin'.

I need miles and don't need to get home too often.
Staying out weekends isn't all that great. What happens is that you'll get a load on say Friday that doesn't deliver until Monday morning since most places are closed on the weekends. So you end up driving Saturday and then shutting down Sunday morning/afternoon in a truckstop near the receiver. Then you're stuck there for no money because you only rate layover pay if you sit 24 hours.

Even if you do get say a drop-n-hook that delivers on Saturday, it's hard to get a good load because after-hours/weekend support staff at most companies pretty much suck. And again, most places are closed.

The only plus is that traffic's lighter and there's more places to park. But that's because most people are home with their families. Which is where I am as my supertruckin' days are long gone and done.

None of those companies will work; one of his demands is a truck governed at not less than 80MPH.!! Also, none of those companies offer maid service, or a chauffeur!!

Your weekends at home time will vary greatly by the company's runs and YOUR location. Anyone telling you youll be home every weekend with XYZ company without knowing where you live or where that co. runs doesnt know jack. sorry. You can only expect to make it home if you are near a major hub.

I know Earl Henderson out of Salem IL is the same way also will run you til you scream then run you some more. I never grossed less than 1L a week back in the late 90's back when a high pay was 26 cpm now if I could still drive I would more than likely be making 1500 a week or better there.
