Millis and some past posts....

I've been on here for a few months asking some questions (had a back surgery in 2001) Went to the Doctor today and he said " He'd have no problem signing off on a DOT physical" I was considering flat bed, but with the prior surgeries I'm not going to take a chance on screwing up my back again because I've heard it's pretty heavy work,Have recieved an offer from Millis and was wondering if anyone on here has worked for them and what your opinion of them as a company is?I'm going back to the Doc in 2 weeks to take the DOT physical and will send that back to Millis ( it came in the Mail 2 hours after the DR's appt. ( Go figure) Again I'd like to thank most everyone for the positive responses and honest feedback and things are definately looking up and I can't wait to get the Hell away from my current employer so wish me luck and thanks again.

Well, trucking is not easy on the body, wether you flatbed or not....sitting for 10 hrs with only 1 or 2 stops sometimes, vibrations, potholes and unergonomic design wont help your back atall...You will have to be extra careful and do all your excercizes like youre supposed to and visit your friendly neighborhood chiropractor whenever home. I do at least once a week and Im 29 and have next to no truckerbelly, no history of backinjury.

If you do flatbed, be sure to figure out a way to get a 120lb. tarp on your shoulder from the floor without having to call paramedics. Apart from that, you should be fine flatbedding, provided that you can climb around on loads- have good balance.
Good Luck
