Looking for a week out, week in team driving position

Hello All:

I am looking for a company that will hire me as part of a team to run a week out and then a week off. Basically driving 2 weeks per month. My family situation makes this odd schedule necessary. I saw an ad in the Atlanta Sunday paper (I live in Atlanta) that was from US Xpress advertising for part time drivers. Does anyone have any experience with this situation?

The reason I want to run team is for the miles. A team should be able to log 6,000 miles in a week. That should equate to decent money. The money plus the medical benefits is what I am looking for.

I am open to any suggestions you all may have. I should also mention that I do have a class A DL as well as a current DOT card. Limited OTR experience but a super clean MVR.

Thanks,

Freight Train

I think CRST has a 20/10 program and a 3 man team program, but not for certain. Still, it's doubtful you'll land in a coast-to-coast 6K per week gig when you're wanting 1 on /1 off. Never hurts to call, though. Good luck.

Alright...how about 14 consecutive days out and 14 consecutive days in? Will that change the options available to me?

If you have Strength, Stamina...and a fair bit of common sense....why not try working "Offshore" in the Gulf of Mexico? Seems that would fit your bill better.
