Arnold was an OK company before things slowed down but they were only OK because of the pay. Now USX owns about 90% and it has been getting worse. I would look at other companies before coming over here. I'll be leaving shortly because there are to many issues that need to be fixed to make them decent again.

If you know all this for a fact...why did you take it laying down? As of January of 08, Lease Operators had the US Supreme Court on their side, when it came to deals like this.Originally Posted by sandman_sleeps1980
i wouldnt wish my enemy onto this company. i drove for them as a lease purchase driver. it was impossible for them to find loads, the loads they did find, only made the truck .50-.75 per mile. i would not accept any load paying less than $1.00 a mile (after their 25% cut) my dispatcher knew this and took care of me. however, her "boss" found out about it and ordered her not to tell me how much it payed before i accepted the load (no force dispatch). i pulled a load from daytona, fl, to knoxville, tn for .44 a mile because of that. pissed as i was i asked am i a company driver or an o/o? if i am going to get paid like a company driver, then i would bring the truck back and get in a company truck. i sat for 2 weeks, waiting on a load for that. the truck got stolen, a police report to prove it, yet i was charged with thuck abandonment, AND close to $5000 in chargebacks, ranging from impound fees, towing fees, to securement equiptment, truck sale prep and a long list of other rediculous items. therefore, i would stay a company driver, save your money (150 - 200 a week) and buy you a truck outright from a dealer.
When you get hosed...It is your responsibility to take care of yourself..not to sit on your hands and cry. These companies depend on Lease Operators being "Mice" not "Men".
