I was with knight for a year and a half, and only ever had one problem with my pay, and that was when I quit. I have heard nothing but bad things about the katy terminal, so I had always refused to deal with them. One thing that will make a world of difference with knight is to pay super close attention to their freight lanes. I used to hate cali until I poked my nose around the mira loma area and found a nice customer the had runs home to SLC every day, and it was a simple matter to find freight from SLC down to LA, because no one wanted to go to Cali, and boom! I had a dedicated run from SLC to LA and back twice a week with weekends off.

Dry van. He did reefer with CRE when he first started and found out you spend more time at DC's getting loaded or unloaded than you do driving. I don't think he'll ever go back to reefer.Originally Posted by aztrucker

I always hear about all the waiting done driving reefer. Find a company that does not deal with grocery warehouses. When I was with Knight Refrigerated I never went to a grocery warehouse and the most I spent waiting was 1 hr.
