CAD Sticker

Why don't we offer a sticker we can prominantly stick to our trucks so we know who other CAD members are out on the road. We could stick it in a certain agreed upon place so it would be easy to find. I, personally, would like to meet and greet as many of you as possible.

heavenbound 02-03-2007 01:41 PM

Come down and see me, just a few hours from ya.

That would be cool to have a sticker of CAD btw.

devildice 02-03-2007 02:15 PM

I like the idea

Yeah, that would be a good idear, but, how would I explain that one to my supervisors. :P Good idee, Terry.

Explain what CAD is, then get them to advertise. :D I was thinking about what if your employer didn't want you to place a sticker on your truck, my solution was to put it on a piece of cardboard, then place it on your dash. Be inventive.

Krzysztof 02-03-2007 09:36 PM

Yeah that'd be awesome. I've often wondered how many of my fellow CAD drivers I've passed on the road or in the t/s's. I forget who it was now, but I sent someone on here a PM because after reading their post I realized that I was in the same T/S as them on the same night and didn't even know it :)

SO yeah... I vote FOR a CAD sticker :)

WildK9 02-04-2007 02:39 AM

i like the idea also. definitely have to come up with a good place to put it on company trucks, where it could be moved if you change trucks, quit, or even fired.

devildice 02-04-2007 03:12 AM

What if instead of a traditional sticker, it's made of that vinyl plastic thingy......like what these quick oil change places (autos) use to write your next oil change on and stick to your windshield.

This way it can be easily removed and placed on your new ride.....just a thought

WildK9 02-04-2007 03:20 AM

that's a great idea!

Twilight Flyer 02-04-2007 03:21 AM

I sent Jeff an e-mail to check out the idea.

you could even go one step further and leave a small blank spot on them so that a person can write his/her CAD screen name on it

yoopr 02-04-2007 04:37 AM

Sticker is a good idea

terrylamar 02-04-2007 06:41 AM

These are all good suggestion, I hope it becomes a reality.

terrylamar 02-04-2007 06:45 AM

Maybe make it a magnetic sticker. It would be easily transferable.

yoopr 02-04-2007 06:48 AM

Now you're getting technical :P

Actually, there are many companies set up to do that. When I was running my Gunsmithing business, they would call me all the time pushing calendars with your logo or saying or whatever. You could have it made in the diamond shape at the top of this page and like devildice said with a place to put your screen name. I would buy at a minimum of two.

yoopr 02-04-2007 06:55 AM

Don't happen to have a AR for sale do you?

I don't have any in stock at the moment, been trucking! :D I still have my FFL and can still get anything. Receiving them will be difficult because I'm hardly ever at the shop during the week.

yoopr 02-04-2007 07:01 AM

Congrats with your start in trucking.
if you happen to run across one at a DECENT price( ) let me know.
I know you can send from one FFL to another FFL

Another good one. Yeah, that would work, too. :P

Not so sure how that would work out, I have precious few magnetic surfaces on my truck.

We could use that diamond at the top of every page or we could do something to display the great variety of people we have on here like say a rainbow sticker......Wait, I think that one is taken.

ToxicWaste 02-05-2007 02:18 PM

yoopr-if you are interested in the sticker idea pass it up the chain and send me a pm. I know someone in the graphics business that should be able to hook us up. If you are looking for an ar might be able to help w/that one as well

Mackman 02-07-2007 12:13 PM

Rev.Vassago 02-07-2007 02:01 PM

Rev, I think your patch is cool but how about having the website URL listed there too.......advertisement

terrylamar 02-17-2007 05:32 AM

Any updates on a patch or sticker or both from CAD?

shyykatt 02-18-2007 08:47 AM

Where do ya get the cool 'big truck' stickers/decals to put on ('4-wheeler')trucks?(aside from t.s's- order them on-line from someplace or???)thnx.

WildK9 03-02-2007 04:32 AM

just wonderin', did this idea come about, or is it still "in the works", or did it die?

mapleleaf_1 03-02-2007 03:36 PM

I've been wondering the same thing Wild. Drive safe everyone. :)

yoopr 03-02-2007 05:35 PM

well until the Owner of CAD says something you can always come up with a Sticker or Card on your own to display on your truck or jacket.

Jackrabbit379 03-03-2007 02:22 AM

Good idea, Yoopr. Maybe I can make millions. :P

I would think the name and or design is trademarked. We would, legally, still need permission.

Without going back and doing a search, aren't you at JB Hunt in San Antonio? And I may have you mistaken with someone else. I was across the street from there the other day.
