That is cool, man. 8) :P I just emailed my cousin, and his sons in Arkansas,to tell them about it,even though,Im sure they already know.

Midnight Flyer 11-12-2006 10:31 PM

:D And the Hogs demolished Tennessee 31-14 yesterday (Saturday, Nov. 11) and could've easily scored another 31 points! The rankings came out today and they are now at #5 in the country. 8)

Jackrabbit379 11-12-2006 10:33 PM

Yeah. Its gonna be a toss-up. Man,who knows will be in,besides either Ohio State,Michigan. What about Boise State, and Rutgers. They are in weaker conferences, but both are undefeated.

:D OSU and Michigan this weekend will be a WAR and will get ugly in a hurry! I'm predicting Michigan 31, OSU 17. 8)

Adam9315 11-13-2006 04:26 AM

I want to blame the TN loss on our quaterback. We have lost the past 2 games since he's been injured. But I can't blame it on that. Our defense wasn't good either. I give Arkansas credit; they played really well.

Wish you are right but Amazingly I think OSU will win-Hope not

Adam9315 11-13-2006 09:32 AM

I predict michigan to win win over OSU.

Mr. Ford95 11-13-2006 08:29 PM

Well, I predict that half of the BCS Title game will be set after the OSU-Michigan game!! :D

Seriously, pending the final score and how the gameplay goes, it is very possible that OSU-Michigan get a rematch for the title. If Michigan were to go on the road and lose on the last play of the game to OSU on some crazy weird play, it is possible they could stay at #2 in the BCS. Why?? The experts will say, "hey they had OSU beat if not for the weird a$$ play at the end AND they were on the road, I'm going to give them some #1 ranking points." That is already what some have been quoted as saying they will do. It will then be up to the computer to decide where the Michigan belongs with a loss and we all know the computer doesn't care how much you lost by. It could spit them out as a #10 ranking or as a #3 ranking with the human polls showing them as a strong #2 and makeup for that #3 computer score and keep them as #2 overall in the BCS. :? :? :?

Jackrabbit379 11-13-2006 08:36 PM

I agree. I also think that USC,Florida, and,or Rutgers may have a spot. Depending on the SEC Title game,Florida may get in there. Arkansas most likely will go to the SEC Title game against Florida, unless they have changed sinse the last time I looked. If the Hogs beat Florida,Florida will be out. I dont think Arkansas will be in,but it would be cool. Someone will get the short end of the stick. There are a lot of good one loss teams in there. There are also two other unbeaten teams. Rutgers, and Boise State. Its crazy. Be interesting to see how it comes out...

CARDIOKID73 11-16-2006 08:20 AM

I'm hoping Florida can sneak in and get a shot at the BCS championship ..That would be sweet ..We will see

CARDIOKID73 11-20-2006 09:25 AM

:x what kind of crap is the bcs trying to pull , putting michigan in at # 2 still , come on they lost , any other team that looses moves down at least 3 to 5 spots

Twilight Flyer 11-20-2006 01:05 PM

I think it's great. As I said in the other thread, in the first place, Ohio State and Michigan are hands down, the two best teams in the country. Saturday proved that. A rematch would be classic.

But a rematch will also sink the BCS system once and for all. Can you say playoffs? Sure, I knew you could. Urban Myer is leading the coaches charge for it and rightfully so. They should have a shot at the BCS, but won't. And what about Boise State? Undefeated...or will be next week...why shouldn't they have a shot at the title?

8-team playoff system using the bowls to play the games. It's been shown that it can work and will generate more money than the current system does.

Simple-OSU and Michigan are the two best teams in the Country

Jackrabbit379 11-20-2006 04:43 PM

Yeah,if USC wins their last 2 games, they might be #2. A difference in the BCS,and the AP polls,in the BCS,Team 1 is ranked,#1,and is idle, and Team 2 is ranked #2,and Team 2 wins,Team 2 advances to #1. In the AP polls,Team 1 is idle, and Team 2 wins their game, both teams will remain the same until the next week, when Team 1 plays again. Not always like that, but it happens a lot. That tells ya how dumb the BCS computers are,not knowing when someone is playing or not..

Tillerman 11-22-2006 01:43 PM

BCS

As long as the BCS goes away I don't care who plays in the National Championship game.. This is the only division of sport that does not have a playoff.. Let's shorten the season by a game or so and get it on with the playoffs. Quite frankly the money will be there!!! Everyone will get there share!!! A true National Champion will be crowned not one of possibly two to four unbeatens being voted on...Quite frankly by a biased media...

yoopr 11-22-2006 04:34 PM

Go Notre Dame-Beat USC :P

charper2822 11-22-2006 04:40 PM

USC vs OSU...if Michigan plays Ohio State again, their game was all for nothing

Smooth 11-24-2006 05:19 PM

OSU 31
USC 26

Mr. Ford95 11-25-2006 04:58 PM

Yoop, if you want Michigan to get another shot at OSU, you want USC to win tonight, then lose next week to UCLA. IF ND wins, it could help them make a major jump, especially if they destroy USC. You want to eliminate everyone possible that would have a case for being above Michigan by all the close one's having 2 losses.

You're the statistical wizzard so I'll trust you with what you're saying but I thought that after U of M smoked ND then ND couldn't climb above them.
Damn-been telling all my buddies at Hunting camp how much I want ND to beat USC
I don't see how UCLA can beat USC though.

:D I dunno Yoop, I'm thinkin' that UCLA might just pull off the big upset of this coming weekend. 8)

Twilight Flyer 11-28-2006 08:52 PM

It's a distinct possibility. USC will be coming off an emotional win against Notre Dame and may be looking past UCLA. UCLA will be coming into it as a rivalry game and with a big chip on their shoulder. I think it'll be a good game, either way.

:D Not to mention that USC and UCLA hate each other worse than Texas and Oklahoma and OSU and Michigan! 8)

Yeah-And Our temperature will be in the 60's this weekend :P
Sure would be sweet to see though

Twilight Flyer 12-03-2006 12:13 AM

I love being right. :)

UCLA 13 USC 7

Jackrabbit379 12-03-2006 01:09 AM

Man! Arkansas is full of quarterbacks. I think all of the running backs have thrown the ball on the trick plays.

:D Those tricks plays are part of the "Wildcat Package" called by offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. 8)

yoopr 12-03-2006 02:02 AM

Your team really let me down Midnight-I think we're totally out of it now.

Jackrabbit379 12-03-2006 02:14 AM

Maybe not. I dunno, but it seems like to me,that USC will drop, and since Michigan didnt play, they should stay where they are.

Urban Meyer, head coach at Florida said that all of the presidents of all NCAA schools should get together, and try to get a playoff system. He said that not only this year, but also in 2003 when he coached at Utah when they went 12-0,and wasnt in the race.

yoopr 12-03-2006 02:29 AM

Sure would really tick off Florida fans-Oh Well :P

:D The Razorbacks beat themselves, pure and simple. Quarterback Casey Dick looked like he couldn't hit the sky if someone threw him out of an airplane at times. Then coach Houston Nutt put in freshman QB Mitch Mustain and the offense began to show some signs of life and even put some points on the board. Then Nutt yanked out Mustain and put Casey Dick back in and the Hogs began moving backwards again! I swear I don't understand our coaches or play calling!

Jackrabbit379 12-03-2006 02:41 AM

Oh well.

yeah,it would. :P

Your team IS a Excellent team-How many of these guys do you have coming back? If you get most of them back you've got a NCAA Championship on the horizon.

:D You're right, Yoop. Our whole backfield and receiving corps will be back next year and both quarterbacks will be back. A lotta guys on defense will also be back. Just hope they'll stay healthy. We've also got a kicker from Springdale, Arkansas who has orally committed to the Hogs who's kicked a 64-yarder in practice. 8)
