News organizations covered up the JFK scandals. Is that "objective"?
Apparently, while searching for fruit,
YOU missed the point.
ALL news organizations covered up the fact that FDR was in a wheelchair... because it wasn't RELEVANT to the news! And few, if any, mentioned the "daliances" of JFK ( unlike the Republican crusades against Clinton ) because his PERSONAL life had no bearing on his "governance." AND because they didn't see a political advantage to demonizing the President of the United States for party political advantage.
I'm not the one comparing apples to oranges. I'm very CLEARLY comparing the biased, hateful, subservient reporting (with the intent of indoctrination) of today with the "civilized" reporting of a time before YOU were born. I STATED that fact and distinction. What part of "things have changed" don't you understand?
Perhaps, it is the part of history that you weren't around to experience! What you weren't here to experience, you can't possibly understand. Not even by READING about it on the Internet. So, don't even TRY! I don't BLAME you for that. I'm just clearly stating that you weren't here to "experience" news reporting as it used to be.
Now, would you like to continue to "school" me on the history you didn't experience... or, would you prefer to question my assertion that the change is the fault of YOUR generation? I don't care if you don't. Only ONE of us has anything to learn here.
Unfortunately, the ones who KNOW it, can't change it. And the ones who could CHANGE it, don't want to "know" about it. Not my problem, really. I'll be dead and gone before YOUR generation wakes up to it. And by then, I suppose, Britney Spears will be the Secretary of State! :hellno::roll:
I left this part in, Rev, because I feel I made a few valid points. But, I want to apologize for the tenor of it. Just a little "post Valentine's Day depression" I guess. That and the way Double L gets me riled up! LOL. Actually, I just don't like being told my comparisons are irrational. Sorry.
