So Rev, how often do you get that 1.90 per mile?? Is that the least you will take to run? Or is this 1.90 you need to average over a quarter?
My monthly averages have been over $1.90 per mile. But then again, I don't calculate my expenses this way anyway, because it is assuming a fixed amount of miles per month. I calculate my expenses by the day, because the amount of days in the year only changes once every 4 years. The amount of miles one averages per month can change from month to month.
Pretty cool how your maitenance & repairs are right around $10,000/year. Just about exactly what I find also.

03pm starting to load
05pm done loading and tarping and shipping papers in hand
Spend rest of night fighting traffic and finding a spot
to park and most likely have to pay also.

were there yesterday

05pm Paper work done for next load but day is done
Spend rest of night fighting traffic and finding a spot
to park and most likely have to pay also.
Thursday 08am Drive to customer site to load
09am Pull in. Find out 5 other trucks spent the night
03pm Loading

Saturday Wake up in truck stop jammed. Hookers and people wanting to
shine your wheels and homo's on the CB. 100 degrees and
the smell of
urine, septic systems overflowing and rotting trash in the dumpsters
fills the air. Take shower in the worst stall you can imagine with
pubic hairs stuck to your feet and a towel that looks like a shop
rag. Worry the rest of the day that your truck doesn't get hit or
vandalized.
Sunday Pretty much the same
Monday Up early to make it to the customer to be first in line. Big
surprise, 10 other trucks had the same idea or spent the
weekend there.
Total for week. 900 miles and gross $2,700. Ready for Prozac and
Valium.
LOL, yeah that sounds about right.
But the idea of those 300 - 500 mile runs is to stay in one area so you can spend more time at home (possibly) and learn where to stay, learn the shippers etc. Soon it gets to be just like your back yard.
The only people who post numbers are myself, Charged and Pepe before he got fed up with everyone.
Dude, I AM the ORIGINAL number poster....posted load by load, posted exact maintenance & repair costs for 4 trucks & 5 trailers, even posted quarterly results.
I even offered you great paying loads right here on this board, and later via cell phone so you bask in the glow of my success and verify my numbers.
He can do a search faster than I can post (again) for another fly by nighter.

Your not the original posted in this thread. We wanted numbers posted in the form Stan had so we can all talk on a level playing field.
And your loads were OK but no back haul and I've had it with Canada. I actually just sent you a new shipper but never heard back!!!

Sounds like you are in cahoots with this guy Steve. You haven't been prompting him in any way, have you? From the thread on the truckers report, it sounds like you have.....
Granted, that would answer the question as to why his business logic made no sense.....
