the guy that opened his door and pitched the COLEMAN cooler from his truck. It landed a bit short of the guard rail, still on the pavement. The gallon jug of ice tea wasn't worth the effort to pick it up, but the cooler is a different story.
First of all, it was in a position where it could have been driven over. I don't know how much damage it might have done, but I'm sure that trying to get it out from under a truck would have been a chore. And, no, I did not drive over it, or hit it. So, why am I thanking you???
I did pick it up. Not damaged very bad at all. As a matter of fact, it was almost completely intact. And, COLEMAN is a good brand in my book. I had one once, and the only reason it stopped working was the power supply I was using it with in the house went up in voltage and took out the peltier unit. The only problem with this one was the outside fan that cools the heat-sink from the peltier unit. A 12 volt, 4" muffin fan available at any RADIO SHACK for just a couple of dollars. Sure beats buying a new one and spending all that money. This one works just as good as the brand new fan. Now, I have two, good, working coolers. As long as the peltier unit is good, they are always worth a new motor. My other one is on it's third motor now, it uses a piece of piano hinge and has to be sitting like a chest freezer because the latch pulled out about three years ago.
So, your garbage is now gone, the obstruction you left on the side of the road is gone and no one is going to run it over and get it stuck under their truck, and I really do thank you for the donation.
