IF YOU CAN FIND A BUSINESS THAT'S STILL IN BUSINESS. The other day, I tried counting how many businesses were shut down and lost track at about eighty. A number of them were places that I used to deliver to about 6 years ago or so. Back then, they were doing great, expanding to try to keep up with demand. Now, the yellow signs out front say "
REALESTATE AUCTION. By the time fuel gets up to $6/gal, there will be MANY more. You won't be hauling loads for companies that aren't companies anymore. And it won't make any difference how well the fuel surcharge keeps you profitable.
