I'll probably just go to an orthopedic surgeon and have him look at it, and I tell him something fell on it (but not where I was when it fell). God, what a tangled web of deception, eh ? :roll: I agree, keeping it separate from work is better. I think my insurance will pay all or most of x-rays, and an office visit copay to a specialist is only $25, have to check out what they cover for rehab.
Let's suppose I HAD reported it right away, and later on went to apply at Company X. Wouldn't Company X be concerned about my previous injury, and less likely to hire me ? If I had used workman's comp instead of my own insurance, is there a database that stores that fact?
I've heard of guys who can't get hired anywhere because they have used workman's comp.
