That's so very true. Sarcastic or not that is indeed exactly what colognes and perfumes are made out of. The chemicals put into such "beauty" products are in fact some of the same chemicals that are going into the gas tank. They both are petrochemical derivatives. Colognes are made by mixing hundreds and sometimes thousands of chemicals almost exclusively synthetic and petrochemical derived.
I personally don't wear the stuff myself but if other people choose to take the risk it's up to them. It's not very pleasant to have to be around someone that bathes in the stuff though.
You smell so good you're literally killing your girlfriend. Meh! I guess all that matters is she thinks you smell nice. Personally I choose to not wear cologne or under arm deodorant that is full of harmful chemicals. I buy deodorant that omits such ingredients.
