Can anyone tell me the good, bad, or ugly about these guys?
I did a search and found only a couple of threads that were very old post and did not say too much.
Any info is greatly appreciated

If you want to be a company driver with a truck payment. They only do lease purchase with their trucks, its cheaper for them to operate. No company drivers anymore.

well that sucks.....ain't no way in he!! they will get me on a fleece program.....thanks for the info

At one time I had spoken with a few of their drivers and it seemed that they were pretty happy......but then I noticed that their entire advertising mode had shifted to alot of "T & A" type of ads.... seemed that they had slid down that "slippery slope" and were having problems recruiting and were fishing for the "lowest common denominator"....now I know why.... :?

I talked to a recruiter with JCT
Well actually I did not. They had a booth at the fair a couple weeks ago.
Nobody there but me and him, I asked a few questions (or more like felt like I was pulling teeth) They were not offering help with training. All he really said was come see me after you go to school and handed me a lease/operator flyer. Seemed more like I was bothering him than anything.

What part of Oklahoma do you live in?
What kind of trucking are you looking to do?

Big John: I am a wannabe right now...
but am always doing research. Located just ouside Tulsa. Had twins two years ago after trying for years. So would like to wait until they start school. Been in a state job for ten years. It does not pay much but the bills. Would like something more for the family and to be able to afford to get old. The way it is now, the retirement will cover insurance cost, maybe will not even cover it in 20 more years. I have mostly been looking at a WalMart dedicated with Crete as the DC is 20 minutes from the house. But as I said this is just research time for now. I am just a lowly, wannabe. But I want to be the best researched rookie when that time comes. A trucking company office job would not be out of the question as I have some OSHA, EPA and security/safety back ground.

if you can get on with walmart that would be your best bet or even crete as far as that goes.worked for jct once and that was enough.they don't care about home time, have the "will get you there when you get there"attitude.i worked there for nine months and out of my orintation class of 18 drivers i stayed and thought things would get better the longest.best advise i can give, take them off your list....

there are off the list....mainly because I have geard they really push their drivers and try to pressure everyone into their fleece program.....
