Check the rubber hose from the compressor to the intake. I should be blue if it is a factory hose. This hose is pressurized by the intake to help the compressor build air faster.
If a hole comes in this hose, which usually happens on the lower back side, you will lose a lot of air charge to the engine. This results in low horsepower and torque, and decreased fuel mileage.
This is very easy to check and replace.
