You know, Vito? I've been following most of your posts here for years, and I always thought you were a sensible guy, so I'll pull up just short of calling you a LIAR!

I think you are wrong, but I can't quote several links to prove it. I believe that MOST of the "offenders" really ARE oldtimers with lots of experience in all kinds of trucking situations. I don't believe these oldtimers are insecure at all. They may not be well educated... but, they know what they know.

I'd lean more towards thinking that about 80% of the offenders are oldtimers (probably grandfathered in with a Chauffeur's license,) and biased against anyone who didn't "farm" their way in like THEY did.

And if you believe what they say on the CB.... NONE of them have short peckers! :lol:

I've encountered various times when it was obvious that I had no idea what I was doing. (Still do, in point of fact.) The general response from the old guys has been that they step out of their trucks and give me a hand. Anyone using a dumbassed phrase like 'steering wheel holder' has invariably been someone without a whole lot to offer the world. I stand by my amateur psychoanalysis.
