Inspection Rpt... Advise Employer?

Got a DOT Inspection Report. Had "speeding 65 in a 55 zone" violation and a "Log Book Entry" violation. listed on in. DOT guy says he's not going to issue any citations, just gives me a warning!

The Inspection Report shows under citation# "warning".

Do I need to notify my company of this report, yes I know I "Should", but will they ever see it if I don't since no citations were issued?

Yes, they'll see it because companies routinely run new MVRs on current drivers to keep records up to date. If they do and it pops up and you didn't tell them, I'm pretty sure they'd let you go for failing to alert them.

If the officer said he's putting it down as a warning, I don't see the need to worry.

You really should not reply to questions you are ill informed about. Did you make it past the third grade? I've seen your posts b4, get a clue! Warnings DO NOT show up one one's DMV.

Pls.... do not reply, just slink into the corner and soak your head into a bucket of water! I knew I shouldn't have wasted my time here....

I believe you are required to inform your employer of the warning/citation. I have received warnings in three different states. Washington, Idaho and Oregon. All three required that you send in the "report" to your employer. And the employer is required to respond to the "report" as a corrective action measure.
The "reports" I received had instructions on the back detailing what is to be done.

Aside "Namecalling TW is not a great way to get answers around here"

I've had a couple warning violations, where I signed my life away. Both were instructed to be given to the motor carrier (my company) to be signed and returned something like within 30 days. I had no choice but to inform them. I'm still working (well was, laid off now) even after being put OOS.

P.S. Show some respect, or keep comments to yourself. I may not help next time.

Actually, I didn't get it wrong. From the MVR side of things, I've been ordering MVRs and reveiwing them for 7+ years. I've reviewed thousands of them. I've seen everything from warnings to speeding tickets for 1 mph over the limit. It all depends on the state but warnings can and do show up.

That said, your post was rather humorous. You asked whether or not you should report it. I said you should. You also asked if they will ever see it. I told you they would. I also told you that there was no need to worry about it, too, as it was just a warning.

However, you seem to already know everything. I'm not sure that anyone ever needs to ask another question of the board. I'll just expand your PM limit box to 500,000 so everyone can simply PM you their questions.

At least in 7 days.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Have an enjoyable week.

Whoops, there's a mistake. DMV is the Division of Motor Vehicles. MVR is a Motor Vehicle Report. I'm sorry, but I'll have to lift your status of Guru. Guru's just do not make those kinds of mistakes.
